I had to giggle, one of my pieces was shown in a gallery last year (as part of a group exhibition) and whilst at the preview I overheard someone say "Someone should really tell the artist that their grammar isn't correct on the title of that one" (pointing to my piece). I suppose I probably should have some text up explaining that both titles and the text the pieces contain are directed by the original text underneath. I don't attempt to correct the word order (or at least, not very often), so obviously in this case "I and Friends" (from the book entitled "Eaking Out I (and friends)" sounds a bit odd, but it's just the way that the text fell

Desire Lines

0 min read
I'm still working on the current book "Desire Lines". It's taking quite a long time, this one, I think because my focus is elsewhere at the moment. My concentration is divided, amongst various projects. I don't really mind, most of my books take a very long time to reach a conclusion (some of them never do). Three pages from Desire Lines have already been in two physical exhibitions and I had great feedback, it's not the first time I've illustrated pages with 'cut outs' from maps and old illustrations but I've not used them in such concentrated form before. You can find some of Desire Lines in my Gallery, Fran.

Birthdays

0 min read
Well, today I handed over the present of a 260 page artist book to dear friends of ours who recently had a baby boy... I always find it hard to let one of my books go to their new homes wether it be a gift or a commission... 9 months of work and it could not go to a lovelier couple of people

Your gallery is amazing! Allow me to watch you! :D :)
Your gallery is a treasure that was a joy to find. Noticing the transcendent in words that we would throw away and overlook is an incredible skill. Keep up your amazing work, and be proud of it for all it's worth. :)
thank you so much :D
